Digital platform provides control and access to tool information
- September 29, 2015
- Product Release
- Shop Management
Milwaukee Tool has introduced ONE-KEY™, a digital platform for tools and equipment. By integrating tool electronics with a custom-built cloud-based program, the platform provides control and access to information that will change the way users interact with their tools, according to the company.
Three components will eventually be available. Inventory Management is the first component available through the web and mobile app, creating a central place for users to manage their tools and equipment across their network of jobs and operators. This free-to-use platform allows companies to keep detailed records of each tool, even non-Milwaukee brands, so they can build a budget and manage their annual equipment spending.
The next component is Tool Reporting. With the ability to synchronize wirelessly with the web-based program, the user can upload data and history to create custom reports that track the success and timing of electrical terminations. The program will help track the utilization and service intervals of the tool.
The last component is Tool Control. The app will allow users to use predetermined setups for specific fasteners and materials or customize their own profile with torque and speed settings for the application.
