Draw-wire unit covers up to 98.43 ft.

The Leine & Linde WDS series draw-wire length measurement unit from Heidenhain provides up to 98.43 ft. of position data for lifts, factory doors, hoists, and gantry systems. The unit can be used with either absolute or incremental rotary encoders.

The draw-wire unit’s measuring length is from 8.20 to 49.21 ft. with more than 0.02 percent full-scale linearity. When coupled to a 13-bit multiturn absolute encoder, the entire measuring range can be covered with a resolution of about 0.001 in. The unit allows configuration with any encoder resolution.
