Flatness control integrates directly onto leveler

Arku offers the FlatJack®, a new process for monitoring the flatness of sheet metal parts. The process rapidly checks the flatness of punched, laser-cut, and flame-cut parts with minimal effort before and after leveling.

The process can be integrated directly onto the inlet rollers of the FlatMaster® precision leveler. This helps minimize cycle time and costs through reduced nonproductive times in the leveling process, the company states.

The surface of the sheet metal part is tested by the laser integrated into the inlet rollers, regardless of the orientation and position. The measurement equipment traverses the part and measures its flatness. The results are transferred automatically to the leveler’s control system and can be accessed at any time to help ensure complete documentation and reproducibility.
