Industrial fan moves air 50 ft. at 70-dB noise output

Patterson Fan Co. has introduced the db, which it says is the first “quiet fan” for the industrial market. Made of highly durable, rotomolded polypropylene, the fan has a small footprint that allows for clearance in pick module and truck bay door applications.

The 0.5-HP motor powering the double blower helps the fan throw an evenly distributed column of air 50 ft. Noise output is 70 dB, which is 40 percent quieter than the company’s 18-in. fan.
