Sheet metal software shows orders, material stock, machine workloads

August 30, 2012

Jetcam Intl. s.a.r.l. will showcase a variety of new and updated products at FABTECH 2012. The company also will release a sheet metal-specific version of CrossTrack software for composites, delivering traceability and providing visibility of orders, material stock, nests, and machine workloads. According to the company, paper use can be reduced substantially or eliminated.

All information is updated in real time across the network, so all staff members are working from the same live data. Bar code scanning removes the possibility of error, and the need to enter data across different systems is eradicated. The software works in conjunction with the company’s Expert nesting software.

A completely rewritten version of the company's Orders Controller Lite (JOC Lite) will also be demonstrated. It allows remote import of orders for parts or complete assemblies for nesting, drawing its new interface design from CrossTrack. Users can drag and drop parts or assemblies into multiple worksheets, which then can be queued for nesting.
