Software release brings sheet, tube fabricators closer to Industry 4.0
Lantek has announced Release 2016 of its Lantek Factory software for producing parts for sheet metal, tubes, and profiles. According to the company, the software’s new functionality takes producers closer to Industry 4.0 for manufacturing.
Advanced automatic geometry recognition for multiple parts and dynamic lead-in/-out positioning help reduce programming times, while the Bevel 3D Designer allows interactive irregular bevel design in 2.5-D. Part cost calculation also has been enhanced in compensation for head up/down times and sheet load/unload times.
A new piercing strategy for thick materials, EcoPierce, helps saves energy and time. A new CAD toolbox simplifies tube design and the incorporation of machining features necessary for successful cutting.
