Trap magnets protect downstream equipment from damage

Eriez® has added ferrous traps to its ProGrade® line of standard magnetic separators. They are offered in ceramic, rare-earth, and Xtreme® rare-earth strengths. The trap magnets target the removal of medium to large ferrous contamination. They help protect downstream equipment from damage caused by tramp metals.

Model B traps are available in rare-earth and Xtreme rare-earth styles. The rare-earth series, suitable for improving product purity in general industry and some food and chemical applications, targets small, fine, and weakly magnetic ferrous contamination. The Xtreme series offers powerful magnetic circuits for maximum ferrous contamination removal.

Model L traps are designed for use as magnetic pipeline traps in operating conditions that are not too severe. These ceramic- and rare-earth-powered units, made of nonsanitary cast bronze construction, can withstand pressures up to 150 PSI.
