Servo press control automatically saves up to 10 stages of upper, lower slide movement limits per cycle

Wintriss Controls has introduced a new version of its SmartPAC 2 servo press automation control. It uses a linear sensor to monitor the slide position and can "learn" and automatically save the upper and lower limits for up to 10 stages of slide movement per cycle.

The control allows users to select one of three slide motion tracking curves for each job: sinusoidal, which simulates the crankshaft motion of a part-revolution mechanical power press; proportional, which approximates the motion of a hydraulic press, with each timing adjustment increment equal throughout the upstroke and downstroke; and asymmetrical, with curves that are proportional and feature high-resolution areas near the bottom and reduced resolution through the top of the stroke.
