CMMs support complex parts production

AIMS Metrology offers the Revolution series LM coordinate measuring machine, designed to help companies tackle the challenges associated with digitized shop floors and higher accuracy and reliability standards for complex parts, big data, and automation.

The CMM, which can be equipped for touch or noncontact inspection, features the Renishaw Revo 2 scanning probe. The precision measuring head and probe system collect data at a rate of 4,000 points per second. Infinite positioning and 5-axis motion allow users to access complex features, while flexible tip sensing helps enhance accuracy.

For 5-axis touch trigger applications, the CMM is available with the Renishaw PH20, which helps increase throughput by three times compared to traditional indexing heads, the company states.
