Small-footprint CMM inspects single and production parts

January 8, 2014

The new BENCHMARK™ CMM from Coord3 is designed for cost-effectiveness with a small footprint. Its half-gantry alloy design has X and Y axes at the same level to provide rigidity for inspection of small and medium-size parts.

The open structure is suitable for the inspection of high-volume-production parts or single-part inspection in small manufacturing operations. Its compact size is designed for production CMM or quality-room applications and fits through a standard door width.

The full air-bearing unit, with accuracy of 2.5 microns and a measuring volume of 19.69 by 15.75 by 17.32 in., comes standard with a Renishaw touch-probe. It is available in manual or CNC configurations. Optional wireless thermal compensation allows the machine to measure accurately in shop conditions.
