Emerson to invest $49 million in new global headquarters

St. Louis-based Emerson has announced a strategic investment of $49 million to build a new global headquarters in Brookfield, Conn., for its Branson assembly technologies product line.

Groundbreaking for the construction of the 140,000-sq.-ft. building is scheduled for June 2019, and opening is expected in late 2020. It will feature an expanded laboratory to support new product development, customer applications, and technical services; manufacturing space for production and assembly of highly engineered tooling, cleaning systems, and metal welding systems; and four customer experience demonstration spaces.
