Henkel wins top award from Bowling Green Area Chamber

The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, Bowling Green, Ky., has presented its John B. Holland Business of the Year Award to Henkel Corp.

The award, which is given to a business that stands out for overall impact within the community, recognizes Henkel’s investment of more than $100 million at its Bowling Green plant. The company operates three worldwide business units including laundry and home care; beauty care; and adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings technologies.

In Bowling Green, Henkel provides more than 800 full-time jobs and nearly 170 temporary positions in-house, and its suppliers provide more than 500 jobs locally, bringing the overall estimated number of local jobs supported by Henkel to more than 1,500. It occupies two buildings there for a total of 2.35 million sq. ft.
