PennEngineering expands operations in Ireland

Fastening technology provider PennEngineering®, Danboro, Pa., has expanded operations in Galway, Ireland, with a new, 80,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing and research facility.

The new facility becomes the primary manufacturing site for all PEM® self-clinching fastener products sold throughout Europe. In addition, the site houses a newly created R&D center and an application engineering center providing custom fastener and installation design and test capabilities.

The expansion raises the total footprint of the Galway operations to more than 200,000 sq. ft. The site currently employs 200 employees.
