Spirol receives 2016 GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award at two facilities

Spirol Intl. Corp., Danielson, Conn., a manufacturer of engineered components for fastening and joining, has announced that its Spirol Canada and Spirol Connecticut manufacturing locations have received the 2016 General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award for achieving operational excellence and quality control.

GM presents the award to top-performing supplier manufacturing sites that meet or exceed a stringent set of quality performance criteria and have achieved the cross-functional support of the GM organization.

The Canadian facility manufactures tubular products including roll formed spacers, compression limiters, dowel bushings, spring dowels, and ground hollow dowels. The Connecticut facility produces coiled spring pins, slotted spring pins, solid pins, compression limiters, inserts for plastics, installation technology, and vibratory feeding equipment.
