FANUC produces one millionth robot

FANUC Corp., Rochester Hills, Mich., has announced the production of its one millionth industrial robot. The company’s robots, which it began producing in 1974, are used for assembly, handling, packaging, painting, and welding.

Entering the North American market in 1982 primarily as a supplier to the automotive industry, the company now offers more than 200 robot and cobot model variants used in industries such as aerospace, agriculture, EV, food and beverage, consumer goods, medical, pharmaceutical, and warehousing.
