AEC to host training events this fall

The Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC), through its Business Excellence Program, is holding three education programs this fall designed to help aluminum extruders benchmark and excel:

Extrusion Excellence Course – Oct. 16, Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare, Rosemont, Ill.
Taught by Dr. Wojciech Misiolek, director of the Institute for Metal Forming (IMF) at Lehigh University, this course is intended for those involved in producing aluminum profiles who may not have had any formal training in the engineering and metallurgical aspects of the extrusion process. The curriculum is appropriate for those new to the industry, as well as experienced production personnel.

Topics include aluminum billet metallurgy, extrudability, metal flow analysis, extrusion dies, quality assurance, and current technological developments. For program and registration details visit www.aec.org/extrusionexcellence.

Sales & Marketing Workshop – Oct. 17 - 18, Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare, Rosemont, Ill.
The two-day event is designed to increase sales, productivity, and profitability. It features one day of educational sessions and a second day comprising a sales training program.

Die Performance Improvement Clinic – Nov. 7 - 8, Gaylord Opryland Convention Center, Nashville, Tenn.
The Die Clinic consists of a general session and seven breakout sessions on aluminum extrusion die-related issues. The breakout sessions include four in-depth workshops and three problem-solving stations that focus on a different set of challenges that die professionals face every day.
