Challenge Mfg. acquires Great Lakes Metal Stamping

Challenge Mfg., an employee-owned global supplier of automotive structures in Walker, Mich., has acquired Great Lakes Metal Stamping’s Cusseta, Ala., location.

This acquisition will allow Challenge Mfg., which employs 3,500 people in 10 locations in the U.S. and Asia, to expand its footprint in the Southeast. The Cusseta location has about 65 employees, a 90,000-sq.-ft. facility, eight press lines, and support equipment.
