Coe Press Equipment installs coil line at Ameristar Mfg.

Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, Mich., has shipped and installed a SpaceMaster Series 3 compact coil line to Ameristar Mfg., a full-service metal fabricator in Mankato, Minn. The line, which fits in 15.33 sq. ft. of floor space, combines unwinding, straightening, and feeding of coil stock into one piece of equipment.

The machine can handle materials from 0.010 to 0.187 in. thick up to 20 in. wide and coil weight up to 11,000 lbs. It processes cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, stainless steel, and aluminum at press-feeding speeds up to 60 SPM.

Powered coil guides, hydraulic hold-down with motorized endwheel, and a pivoting peeler/debender are provided for coil containment and threading.
