Coe ships coil line to Nucor

Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, Mich., has installed a 6-in. coil processing line at Nucor’s facility in Frankfort, Ky., which manufactures building envelope systems designed to protect roofs, exterior walls, foundations, and fenestration systems. The line, which comprises a series 1 servo roll feed, a series 250 power straightener, and a 4,000-lb. by 12-in.-capacity coil reel, will be feeding a newly installed SEYI press.

The line is designed to handle galvanized steel at 40,000 PSI up to 0.125 in. thick in coil widths from 2 to 6 in. It can achieve a roll speed of 392 FPM with a feed accuracy of +/- 0.003 in.
