Dallas Industries delivers two complete feed lines to Colson

Troy, Mich.-based Dallas Industries, a manufacturer of coil handling and press feeding equipment and controls for the stamping industry, has delivered two conventional feed lines to the Colson Group, a caster and wheel manufacturer in Jonesboro, Ark., with a third on order.

Each feed line has a 10,000-lb. weight capacity and handles 12-in.-wide coil. The heavier-duty line can accommodate material thicknesses up to 0.250 in. The other two lines handle thicknesses to 0.187 in. at 12 in. wide, or heavier gauges at 4 in. wide.

All are fitted with the company’s SyncLoop technology control package, which monitors coil OD and loop depths and adjusts payout speeds accordingly. They also have automated coil guide rolls to center the coils on the reels without operators having to slide coil keepers on and off. The coil centering feature is automatic and stored in a job recipe.
