Feintool names CEO effective Jan. 1

Switzerland-based fineblanking technology provider Feintool has named Knut Zimmer as CEO effective Jan. 1. In addition to taking on CEO responsibilities, he also will run the high-volume parts production of the System Parts segment. The outgoing CEO, Bruno Malinek, will take on an advisory role at Mubea, the group of companies of former major shareholder Thomas Muhr, who sold his Feintool stake in 2017.

Zimmer joined the company in 2012 in connection with the acquisition of Herzing + Schroth GmbH u. Co. KG, which today is Feintool System Parts Obertshausen GmbH. After completing the integration, he led the Forming Europe division created after the acquisition. Zimmer also has been responsible for the European parts business of the Feintool Group since 2017.
