Kenmode announces staff additions, promotions

Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping, Algonquin, Ill., has expanded its team in metal stamping quality, production, project management and distribution with two new managers and three employee promotions.

Greg Beck has been hired as production supervisor after working for 26 years at Ultra Stamping and Assembly. He has an associate degree from Rock Valley College, where he completed his apprenticeship training.

John Doerr has been named senior quality engineer after working as an independent consultant in ISO quality system compliance since 2006. Before that, he was director of quality and plant manager at Deringer-Ney. He has a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Eastern Illinois University.

Terry Handel has been promoted to supervisor of project management after serving as project manager since 2012. Before joining the company, Handel was master planner for Cast Aluminum Solutions and a project engineer and manufacturing engineer at ITW’s Paslode/Industrial Fastening. He holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Iowa State University and a certification in project management from Loyola University of Chicago.

Tim Johnson has been promoted to supervisor of warehouse and distribution. He has worked for the company since 1998, most recently as assistant supervisor. Before that, Johnson worked in material handling at a plastic injection molding firm. He attended Elgin Community College and holds certifications in EMT and forklift instruction.

Tom Lazansky has been promoted to director of quality assurance. He has been with the company for 33 years, spending most of that time in the quality inspection lab. He attended Elgin Community College and has completed training in such subjects as blueprints and SPC.
