Kickhaefer Manufacturing Co. celebrates 115 years in business

Kickhaefer Manufacturing Co. (KMC), Port Washington, Wis., is marking its 115th year in business in 2023. The company was founded in 1908 by Edward A. Kickhaefer as a small metal stamping and diemaking shop on Milwaukee’s south side.

The need for additional space led the company to move to Grafton, Wis., and later to Port Washington, which allowed KMC to double its manufacturing capacity. The company currently has more than 300 employees across four Wisconsin plants in Port Washington, Freedonia, and Milwaukee, with more than 250,000 sq. ft. of total manufacturing space.

KMC produces engineered manufactured metal fabrications and stampings for the automotive, commercial, agricultural and construction equipment, and on-highway trucking industries. The company also sells standard catalog parts through its distribution channels.
