Schuler delivers 1,100-ton press to V-Zug AG

Schuler Inc. has announced the delivery of a 1,100-ton press with TwinServo technology to Switzerland-based V-Zug AG. The press is driven by two separate torque motors in the press bed. The electronically synchronized drives are arranged to allow room for the scrap chutes. The press offers high tilt resistance and reduced deflection, says the company.

Changeover of 19- by 6-ft. dies weighing up to 35 tons has been reduced to less than 15 min., allowing V-Zug to produce small lot sizes. In addition, the machine is prepared for the requirements of Industry 4.0.
