Schuler delivers press line to Hirschvogel

Schuler AG, Göppingen, Germany, has delivered an MSL 2-2000 cold forging press to The Hirschvogel Automotive Group, Denklingen, Germany. The press delivers 2,000 metric tons of force to manufacture a variety of shafts for transmissions, drivetrains, and engines.

It is the first press line of this size to feature Schuler’s ServoDirect Technology (SDT). Slide speed can be controlled to allow coordination of the forming and transfer processes. Freely programmable slide movement helps simplify machine setup.
