Olympus to distribute VeriPhase software

Olympus®, a manufacturer of industrial inspection equipment in Waltham, Mass., has been named the exclusive distributor of Automated Detection Technology™ software from VeriPhase® Inc., a Birmingham, Ala.-based NDT technology and service provider.

The software integrates directly with Olympus’ OmniPC™ software for users of the OmniScan® flaw detector. It rapidly processes encoded phased-array weld data and then autopopulates the indication table in the OmniPC software with all relevant position and sizing readings. When an indication from the list is selected, the software automatically adjusts the view and cursors for quick, final disposition. It is also easy to update or delete indications from the list.

The software detects and reports issues such as data dropout and loss of couplant and provides simple access to scan plan parameters. When the analysis is complete, the software provides the relevant information in a quality report that allows users to validate setup parameters and spot quality issues.
