Aluminum panels finished by Linetec featured on New York’s The Forge tower

The Forge, New York, N.Y.

The Forge, a recently opened 272-unit luxury residential tower in Long Island, N.Y., features a façade of copper-colored anodized aluminum cladding finished by Linetec, Wausau, Wis. The company finished more than 92,000 sq. ft. of Dri-Design panels in the proprietary copper anodize and painted an additional 4,800 sq. ft. in black iron color.

Linetec’s finish was accomplished through a three-step electrolytic coloring method, rather than the standard two-step process. The resulting finish will remain a bright copper color, with no patina over time. It does not require a clear coat or ongoing treatment to maintain color stability. It is available for extrusion, stretch-formed, and flat sheet aluminum, before or after assembly.
