Chemetall acquires automotive paint detackification business of Polymer Ventures Inc.

The Surface Treatment global business unit of the Coatings division of BASF, operating under the Chemetall® brand, has acquired the automotive paint detackification business of Polymer Venture Inc., including all its shares of Galaxy Chemical Corp.

Paint detackification captures and neutralizes paint overspray. It complements Chemetall’s surface treatment products, which are designed to prepare metal surfaces for the painting process and ensure proper coating adhesion.
