Former Weiler Abrasives president receives ISA Lifetime Achievement Award

Weiler Abrasives, a provider of abrasives, power brushes, and maintenance products for surface conditioning in Cresco, Pa., has announced that Karl M. Weiler, former president, has received the John J. Buckley Lifetime Achievement Award from the Industrial Supply Association (ISA).

The award is the ISA’s highest distinction and honors outstanding individuals in the maintenance, repair, operations, and production (MROP) channel for their longstanding service and their contributions to supporting the success of the industrial supply industry.

After earning a degree in business from Hofstra University and completing active-duty service in the U.S. Army, Weiler began working at the company in 1962 under his father, Karl E. Weiler. In 1971 he bought the company and served as president until 1998, leading strategic initiatives to focus on the industrial MROP channel and guiding advancements in technology.
