Kolene Corp. appoints VP of R&D

Dr. Louis R. Pignotti

Detroit-based Kolene Corp., a provider of equipment, formulations, and processes for cleaning and conditioning metal surfaces, has promoted Louis R. Pignotti to vice president of research and development and to an officer of the company.

Pignotti joined the company in September 2012 as a senior research chemist and progressed through the lab to chief chemist in January 2016. Before that, he served as manager of research and development at Peninsula Copper Industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with environmental concentration and a PhD in inorganic chemistry from Michigan Technological University.
