MicroCare chemist recognized for pursuit of excellence in surface finishing

MicroCare Corp., a manufacturer of cleaning, coating, and lubrication products in New Britain, Conn., has announced that Venesia Hurtubise, technical project chemist for the company, has been named to Products Finishing’s annual 40 Under 40 leadership group of rising stars in the finishing industry.

At MicroCare, Hurtubise is instrumental in developing new chemical formulations for debinding, cleaning, and drying metal parts. She currently has three pending patents for new high-performance cleaning fluids engineered to meet strict global environmental regulations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and forensic science and a master’s degree in green chemistry from Imperial College in London.
