Walter Surface Technologies announces staff promotions

Philip Tanious

Windsor, Conn.-based Walter Surface Technologies, a provider of abrasives, power tools, tooling, industrial parts washing systems, cleaners, degreasers, and lubricants, has promoted three of its directors.

Philip Tanious has been appointed to vice president of operations. He oversees inventory, production, and logistics as well as purchasing for Walter’s international offices. Tanious joined the company in 2007 as director of operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Concordia University in Montreal.

Josée Coutu, CPA, CA, has been promoted to vice president of finance. She is responsible for the finance, human resources, and information technology departments in Canada and manages international finances for the Walter Group. Coutu joined the company in 2010. She has a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the HEC in Montreal.

Daimon Mussell has been named vice president of sales for Walter Canada. Since joining the company in 2010, he has held progressively senior leadership positions within the sales department. Mussell holds an MBA from the University of Windsor.
