Bystronic completes first U.S.-assembled BySmart fiber laser cutting machine

Bystronic, a supplier of press brakes, laser cutting systems, automation, and software, has announced that the first laser cutting machine assembled at the company’s new facility in Hoffman Estates, Ill., has rolled off the line.

The company reports that the next-generation BySmart Fiber 3015 laser cutting machine, now with 8- and 10-kW fiber laser power, is the first machine to be locally produced in the three major market regions of the world: North America, Europe, and Asia. It will be shipped nearly fully assembled to most locations within North America, reducing installation time at the customer’s location by as much as 65%, states the manufacturer.
