Cadence expands laser processing technologies

Staunton, Va.-based Cadence, a single-source manufacturing partner for medical device, life science, and industrial companies worldwide, has added a new 4,000-W CL900 Cincinnati fiber laser cutting machine to its existing modified tube cutting lasers and custom flat sheet cutting lasers.

The machine, which has a 5- by 10-ft. cutting area, can cut 1,000 IPM with a positioning accuracy of +/-0.001 in.

In addition to laser cutting, the company offers laser welding, laser marking, and LaserSwiss. Also under development in its Advanced Welding Lab™ is a new system for testing laser welding optics for its next-generation equipment.
