CGI Automated Mfg. acquires PMF

CGI Automated Mfg., a portfolio company of Chicago-based private equity firm Core Industrial Partners, has acquired Precision Metal Fab and Precision Tool & Die (collectively PMF), Ponca City, Okla.

PMF offers CNC laser cutting, stamping, metal die formation, welding, and assembly for a variety of end markets. It has 10- and 15-kW fiber-optic lasers that can cut up to 1.2-in.-thick mild steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, and copper while holding tolerances up to 0.003 in., as well as presses from 60 to 300 tons for short- and long-run progressive stamping. Ancillary services include press brake forming, PEM insertion, assembly, and packaging.
