Coherent opens Coherent Munich to produce industrial laser-based subsystems

Coherent Inc. has expanded its Gilching, Germany, micromachining and subsystem facility and completed the relocation of its laser marking group from nearby Gunding. Designated Coherent Munich, this location upgrades the organization’s applications and R&D capabilities.

The location’s focus is to supply fiber, CO2, and solid-state laser-based subsystems for precision industrial manufacturing and marking applications and to supply laser machines for specific tasks such as tube cutting, precision welding, and black marking.
