LIA past president Prof. Jyoti Mazumder dies
The Laser Institute of America (LIA) has announced that Prof. Jyoti Mazumder, past president of the organization, died April 10, 2021.
Mazumder served LIA in various capacities, including as longtime editor-in-chief of its Journal of Laser Applications. He was the recipient of the Arthur Schawlow Award and was named a fellow in the National Academy of Engineering.
