Mika Metal Fabricating installs AMADA fiber laser system

Laser cutting with the AMADA Ventis 3015 AJ

Mika Metal Fabricating, a provider of production-run, light-gauge custom sheet metal fabrication and design, has added an AMADA Ventis 3015 AJ 4-kW fiber laser system to its plant in Willoughby, Ohio.

The machine delivers nearly dross-free cutting of a variety of materials and thicknesses, including stainless steel and aluminum. It uses Locus Beam Control to achieve infinite locus patterns, helping to ensure optimum fiber laser beam shape control and cutting speeds up to three times faster than a conventional fiber laser, the manufacturer reports.
