Prima Industrie names new CEO

Prima Industrie, a global provider of laser systems, sheet metalworking systems, and electronic components for industrial applications, has appointed Giovanni Negri as CEO. Former CEO Ezio Basso will remain on the board of directors.

Negri holds a degree in management engineering and an MBA from the Politecnico di Milano. He previously served as CEO of CMS SpA, a company of SCM Group, and held positions of increasing responsibility at SCM Group, Porsche Consulting, and Siemens.
