Steelway Cellar Doors adds TRUMPF laser

Steelway Cellar Doors, a manufacturer and installer of cellar doors and egress systems, has added a TRUMPF 3-kW 1030 TruLaser, sold by equipment distributor Mid Atlantic Machinery, to its facility in King of Prussia, Pa.

Steelway previously handled most of its manufacturing on a plasma cutting machine. The new equipment is allowing the company to diversify its business through contract manufacturing and providing laser cutting services.

The fiber laser cuts sheet thicknesses of 1 to 25 mm, and the PierceLine feature enables piercing of the sheet metal quickly to protect the machine.
