Weiss-Aug opens Laser Lab Technology Center

The Weiss-Aug Group’s prototyping capabilities now include a Laser Lab Technology Center with laser cutting and etching machines, located at the Weiss-Aug Surgical Products Division in Fairfield, N.J.

Equipment in the laser lab includes a new modulated fiber laser system that enables laser cutting of materials with thicknesses to 0.059 in. and delivers cut accuracy to ±0.001 in. Ultrahigh-resolution cameras allow precise 2D and 3D engraving, as well as grave marking.
