Coldwater Machine adds jig bore to machining operations

Coldwater Machine Co., Coldwater, Ohio, a manufacturer of precision parts, machinery, and automated systems, has added to its build-to-print capability with the addition of a Mitsui Seiki J6CNC jig bore.

The machine features components made with extremely tight tolerances and rigidity, enabling it to achieve positioning accuracies of +/-0.00004 in. It is used to produce components for machine tools, as well as for the automotive, aerospace, electronics, and semiconductor industries.

The jig bore has a 50- by 30-in. work table, 40-in. longitudinal travel, 30-in. transversal travel, 11.81-in. quill vertical travel, and 27.5-in. cross rail vertical travel.
