Ford Tool celebrates 50 years in business

Ford Tool & Machining LLC, Loves Park, Ill., marks its 50th anniversary. The company began primarily serving the fastener industry but has since expanded its technologies and capabilities, providing tooling and machining services to companies in the automotive, aerospace, fluid power, and oil and gas industries.

Growth and acquisitions throughout the 1990s expanded the company and developed business capabilities to include wire EDM, ram EDM, and pin manufacturing. Today the firm has four divisions: Precision CNC Machining, Lathom Pin, Carbide Header Die, and Tri-Wire EDM.
