Geater Machining & Mfg. announces senior leadership changes

Geater Machining & Mfg. Co., an Independence, Iowa, supplier of precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations for the aerospace and electronics industries, has announced several senior leadership changes.

Joe Meier has been promoted to CEO. He succeeds Jerry Bitterman, who has retired. Meier joined the company in 2005 as the machining manager and was promoted to plant manager in 2006. In 2011 he was appointed vice president of operations.

The company also has promoted Dan Heller from plant manager to vice president of operations and Mark Vermillion from national sales and marketing manager to vice president of sales. John Miller has been promoted from director of engineering and technology to vice president of engineering and technology, and Amber Youngblut has been promoted from human resources director to vice president of human resources.
