Seco Tools to co-host virtual event on precision medical manufacturing

On April 21-22 the annual “Inspiration through Innovation” event, hosted by Seco Tools and industry partners, will focus on precision manufacturing in the medical industry. The five-hour virtual program will be presented three times over the two days for accessibility in the Europe, Americas, and Asia-Pacific time zones. Content will be available in English, French, German, Mandarin, and Spanish.

Attendees will learn from a collaborative approach to solving common precision manufacturing challenges with orthopedic components such as a tibial tray, a femoral knee, a bone plate, a hip cup, hip stems and rasps, and a spinal cage.

These machining demonstrations will be complemented by seminar presentations addressing such topics as additive manufacturing and related inspection technologies, how the medical manufacturing segment can help bridge the technical engineering skills gap, and overcoming disruptions to manufacturing processes.
