TAB Industries opens own machine shop to meet demand
TAB Industries LLC, a manufacturer of orbital stretch wrappers, recently held a grand opening for its in-house machine shop. Encompassing 2,000 sq. ft. in the company's Reading, Pa., headquarters, the machine shop features GMAW/GTAW machines; a Bridgeport vertical machining center; CNC turning center; an Edwards 55-ton ironworker machine with punching, shearing and forming; and a variety of tools and accessories.
The new machine shop expands the company's metalworking capabilities. The company added the shop to help keep up with demand for its products while also allowing for faster custom machine building, prototyping, and product R&D.
