Walter AG names president

Walter AG, a cutting tool manufacturer and parent company of the Waukesha, Wis.-based Walter USA LLC, has appointed Richard Harris as president. He succeeds Mirko Merlo, who has been with the company for 35 years, serving as president since 2012.

Harris has held various management positions for the parent company Sandvik since 2002. Most recently he led the Powder and Blanks Technology division within Sandvik Machining Solutions.
