Gorbel wins Platinum Award in Team Excellence

Rochester, N.Y.-based Gorbel, a provider of cranes and lifting equipment, has received a Platinum Award in Team Excellence from the Greater Rochester Quality Council (GRQC).

The GRQC presents awards in the three categories of gold, silver, and bronze, but will present a platinum award to local organizations that exceed its performance and continuous improvement criteria.

Gorbel received this award in recognition of the Destuff-it Implementation Project, which involved acquiring the Canadian conveyor system and bringing it to production in the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project was completed in six months and was meant to sustain the company through a period of economic uncertainty.
