Aleris leaders recognized with STEP Ahead Awards

Aleris, a provider of aluminum rolled products, has announced that Helene Lagace, director of research and development, and Brittany Kanz, manager of master planning and inventory, have been named as recipients of Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Ahead Awards from The Manufacturing Institute.

The awards honor women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers, from the factory floor to administration.

Lagace was selected as an honoree for the awards. Her leadership played a key role in the introduction of the Aleris Process Control method at the company’s facilities in Duffel, Belgium, and Lewisport, Ky.

Kanz was selected as an emerging leader for the awards. She manages the company’s network of products moving between its facilities and customers.
