Alliance Steel installs stretcher leveler

Alliance Steel has installed a Red Bud 72- by 0.400-in. high-efficiency stretcher leveler with a 90,000-lb. coil capacity at its Bedford Park, Ill., facility. Featuring SUREGRIP® technology, the line can achieve a 40-ft. stretch in a cycle time of less than 8 sec.

The stretcher is complemented by two inline Bradbury e-drive® corrective levelers to help ensure complete flatness and nearly stress-free results.

With this addition, the company’s processing capabilities now include slitting, leveling, multiblanking, cold reduction, and stretcher leveling for all flat roll applications.
